silence like a cancer grow

I got this sore throat for a month, but doc assured that it's not uncommon and can cure. But up till now I'm still not fully recovered. I can't reach my high notes, means I still lost my voice. When is it coming home? I hope I still can sing, not like some permanent voice damage, maybe I should lay off the singing for another month.. haha I'm no singer la, just dun want it to be something worse than a common sore. yes i'm afraid of being like michael douglas.
